Search Interest in Small Electric Cars Continues to Rise Globally
New data released following the Spring Festival holiday shows a significant surge in electric vehicle usage in China. During this year's holiday period, highway EV charging sessions reached 6.021 million, with total charging volume nearing 150 million kWh—a 52.01% increase in average daily charging compared to last year's holiday.
These numbers reflect the accelerating adoption of new energy vehicles. Meanwhile, global interest in small electric cars is also on the rise.
Recent international search data shows sustained growth in queries for "best small electric car," "mini electric car," and "Small All Electric Cars" —highlighting strong demand from overseas consumers for compact, cost-effective EVs. This trend is particularly evident in regions with high urban density and limited parking, such as Europe and Southeast Asia.
Searches for "small chinese electric car" are also increasing, signaling growing international recognition of China-made small EVs.
The strong holiday travel data not only demonstrates the vitality of China's NEV market but also provides real-world validation for overseas markets. As charging infrastructure expands and consumer acceptance grows, the global shift toward small electric vehicles is gaining momentum.
